| Description: The United States Secret Service has a requirement to procure protective state-of-the-art concealable body armor and ancillary gear for its approximately 6,500 sworn law-enforcement and operational personnel, in over 110 domestic CONUS offices. All armor systems shall provide protection against labeled and listed projectiles while maintaining impact blunt trauma to acceptable levels as specified by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Standard 0101.06. The proposed armor systems shall also meet specific special threat testing requirements, shall be configured according to the general design details defined in this document. The Government will award to the current contractor whose product and services provide the best value to the Government based upon an evaluation of technical specifications, price, warranty, and other factors herein. The award will be made on a single award basis The contract will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price task order for 1 year. | |
