| Description: The purpose of this project is to relocate the existing deficient/inadequate checkpoint on Highway 77 to an adequate site meeting the projected requirements; continue with the marketing survey for land purchase; accomplish a traffic study; confer and lease necessary Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) land; select a site, and purchase land for said checkpoint; accomplish an environmental assessment; accomplish programming, design, and construction of said facility.
Design-build a new Border Patrol Checkpoint in the Rio Grande Valley sector, Kingsville, Texas on Highway 77. The new checkpoint shall comply with the 2026 U.S. Border Patrol Checkpoint Design
Standard (CPDS) and policies as required.
