Description: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Coast Guard Safety Service Center (SAFECEN), seeks contractor support to provide technical writing, editorial assistance, administrative coordination, and project lifecycle management for SAFECEN operations. The contractor will assist in the development, refinement, and delivery of SAFECEN products and publications, including Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), the Annual Safety Report, Fact Sheets, "The Signal" newsletter, and other communications. Key responsibilities include guiding technical experts through established Coast Guard technical writing processes, ensuring deliverables meet Section 508 accessibility compliance standards, and adhering to Coast Guard formatting and branding requirements across various products. The contractor will facilitate meetings, track project timelines, perform quality assurance checks, and ensure all SAFECEN products are professional, consistent, and aligned with operational objectives. The contractor will support the full lifecycle of SAFECEN projects requiring technical editing and writing services, from initial planning to finalization, ensuring all phases adhere to Coast Guard standards and meet deadlines. This includes maintaining and organizing project documentation, onboarding new workgroup members, and uploading content to the Coast Guard Portal. Additionally, the contractor will ensure personnel comply with applicable Government regulations, policies, and procedures, and provide training to new personnel upon assignment. This opportunity requires expertise in technical writing, project lifecycle management, and familiarity with applicable processes and standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe tools is essential to ensure high-quality deliverables. The contractor’s efforts will enable SAFECEN to maintain operational readiness, deliver professional products, and support Coast Guard safety initiatives effectively.
