Description: DHS Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) Office of Science and Engineering (OSE) Systems Engineering and Standards (SES) Division provides technical assistance and policy guidance to the DHS Components on the development of voluntary consensus standards that meets their needs. Standards supports the development of consensus-based measures – from basic specifications to performance criteria – that give DHS and its customers confidence that technology and systems will perform as required. The S&T Directorate works across DHS and with numerous external partners to build consensus and encourage the adoption of needed voluntary standards. Many of the DHS Components work across U.S. borders and internationally, therefore the standards that they use must have global relevance. DHS S&T OSE SES requires easy on-line access to a robust collection of continuously updated engineering and technical reference documents from roughly 500 standards developing organizations and publishers. Scope of activities and benefits of the subscription • Library of standards and 1.6 million international standards from over 360 global publishers. • Manage all your Standards subscriptions, allow users to open the Standards online within their collections, download the PDF version where available, and provide users with Alerts and notifications when Standards change. • Add Notes and Commentary to standards within the online portal/toolkit. • Single Sign On available at no additional cost to ensure simple access to the portal/toolkit. • Mobile App, which allows users to access Standards offline. • Users can open the Standard web version online using all mainstream web browsers without additional software or ORM plugins for all Standards (Except AS) • Self-serve reporting can inform administrators and Account Management about detailed usage Statistics to identify the most used or redundant standards, thus tailoring future commercial models.
