| Requirements Title: Maritime Variant Personal Radiation Detection Procurement |
| Description: USCG has fielded 5,365 maritime variant PRDs over the lifespan of the previous procurement effort spanning approximately 5 years. These PRDs replaced legacy equipment and allowed the continuation of USCG search and detect capabilities for both gamma and neutron radioactive sources. Due to an equipment assessment, USCG is replacing the Human Portable Tripwire (HPT) R300 systems with additional PRDs. To reach full operational capability, another 600 PRDs are being sourced for procurement. This buy will complete the maritime variant PRD purchase effort, establish FOC, and move the program into sustainment. |
