| Description: The Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) requires Information Technology and Development Support Services. The services will be performed at the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP). The CDP, headquartered in Anniston, Alabama, is a national training facility which provides specialized advanced training to Federal, State, and local emergency responders to prevent, deter, interdict, and respond to terrorist acts involving toxic weapons grade chemical and biological agents, radiological materials, and hazardous materials. CDP provides advanced hands-on training to State and local law enforcement, firefighters, health care professionals, emergency medical personnel, E-911 operators, public works officials, public health officials, and emergency management officials. Additionally, the CDP provides training infrastructure and facilities for FEMA, DHS, and other federal agencies. Training courses provided by the CDP provide specific knowledge and expertise for deterrence, prevention, and response to Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) incidents. This training enhances the Nation’s capability to respond to terrorist incidents and supports homeland security preparedness. CDP occupies the following six major facilities of the former Fort McClellan, AL, all of which are interconnected via fiber optics to supply connectivity for administrative support.1) CDP Main Complex; Multi-Level Administrative Building; 2) CDP Advanced Responder Training Complex (ARTC); 3) CDP Responder Lodging Complex (900 Area); 4) CDP Noble Training Facility; 5) Maintenance Building (Building 40) and, 6) Chemical, Ordnance, Biological and Radiological Training Facility (COBRATF). |
