Requirements Title: SDC Pistol Range Armory Structure Building
Description: The San Diego Border Patrol Pistol Range requires a CBP certified armory storage building to be built outside the existing shooting range building located at 2301 McCain Road San Diego, California. Range is currently using Connex buildings for storage which is out of compliance for ammo storage. The Ballistic Concrete Structure Building dimension is 70’-0 W X 25’-0 L X 15’-0 H. Square footage roughly 1,100. The entire structure will consist of Concrete Slab, Concrete Walls and Concrete Ceiling with explosive rated exterior and interior doors. The building structure will contain load rated shelving for palletized ammunition with additional secure storage. The load rated shelving will be accessed through 1 double sided doors entrance 48” W X 72” H X 2”. Height of double-sided doors will depend on height bottom ceiling of structure. Doors are to be placed west end of structure with a concrete ramp for forklift access or other equipment. In addition, the new structure will need 2 single-door entrances with concrete ramp that will accommodate a pallet forklift equipment to enter. One located north of a new structure and one entering existing wall that will need to be cut out to the current ammo room. Dimensions door 48” W X 72”H X 2”. All armory doors are to be fire rated & explosively rated. Storage facility will need to have security and communication ridged conduit in placed for future installation. Exterior and interior light fixtures with light switches will need to be installed, including receptacle outlets and outlets for forklift. Ammo facility is required to have it own separate HVAC unit package with thermostat to keep ammo free of heat and humidity and exhaust units. HVAC unit is to be placed on roof Last; Contractor shall hire certified engineer to design Weapons and Ammunition Storage from U.S. Border Patrol Facility Design Standard and Current Federal Regulation.
