| Requirements Title: Professional Support Services for Freedom of Information Act (FIOA) |
| Description: The objective is to obtain qualified professional contract staff to support the mission of The HSI FOIA & Privacy Unit (FOIA/PA Unit). These qualified individuals will provide specific analytical support to the Homeland Security Investigations FOIA/PA Unit.
• Research, coordinates search, analyzes records, and prepares documentation in response to FOIA/PA requests for HSI information tasked from the ICE FOIA Office
• Assists with FOIA Appeals by reviewing prior release recommendations, coordinating additional searches with ICE/HSI components, and making amended release recommendations, as appropriate
• Provides subject matter expertise and requisite guidance to HSI field and headquarters components
• Makes recommendations to agency staff, to include HSI senior management and ICE legal staff, regarding the disclosure of law enforcement information; and
• Supports the agency’s litigation efforts in coordination with the Office of Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA) and Assistant United States Attorney by constructing Vaugh indices, Declarations, Affidavits,
Responses to Complaints, and Supplemental releases. |
